JAIPUR: The
Rajasthan high court has asked the commissioner of police, Jaipur, to appear before it and explain as to how many minor kids had gone missing from Jaipur city in the past two years.
The order was passed by a division bench of Justice R S Chauhan and Justice V S Siradhana on a habeus corpus petition filed by one Nargis Khatton whose minor girl, Hina Parveen, went missing and was not traceable for more than a year.
"At times, several investigating officers appeared before the court and filed progress reports but failed to trace the missing children which irked to court to take up the issue on a larger perspective," said Vindo Sharma, counsel for the petitioner.
The commissioner has been called on September 11 to explain the failure in recovery of the above child and with the report of other missing children.
